Geebo Device Repair will assess every device and fix what needs repairing when possible.

If you can’t charge your device or get it working in order to remove your accounts before donating it, simply include a card or post-it with your name and phone number. When the team at Geebo gets to your phone, if it can be fixed, they will contact you to help remove your accounts at that time.

Android instructions:

  • Open Settings.
  • Tap Accounts or Accounts & backup (sometimes “Users & accounts” on some phones).
  • Tap the Google account you want removed (it may show the email address).
  • Tap Remove account. (You may need to confirm your device PIN / pattern / password.)
  • On some phones this is under the three-dot menu (⋮) → Remove account.
  • Wait for the account to finish removing. Reboot the phone to confirm the account is no longer listed.
  • When the Google account is removed, a factory reset will not trigger FRP for that account.

Tips: If the device has multiple Google accounts, remove them all if you want a fully FRP-free reset.

Apple instructions:

  • Open Settings.
  • Tap your name at the top (Apple ID banner).
  • Tap Sign Out (scroll to the bottom).
  • If prompted, enter your Apple ID password and tap Turn Off to disable Find My and sign out.
  • Choose whether to keep a copy of Contacts, Keychain, etc. on the device (only if you want them locally).
  • After signing out, if you want to erase the device: Settings → General →
  • Transfer or Reset iPhone → Erase All Content and Settings.
  • Because you signed out and turned off Find My, the device will not ask for the previous Apple ID after the reset.

**This can be an issue if the device is broken so we will need to take customers’ contact details to follow up with customers once repaired to properly erase the phone.

Thanks for taking the pledge!
